The Ervocom system receiver uses 9 volt batteries normally lasting between 3 and 4 matches depending on usage.

The Flag sticks use the 9v 'Square' batteries as used in smoke alarms.

These last much longer. Designed to meet the exacting standards required for heavy duty use The flag handles are coated with a unique rubberised handle on the grips to ensure comfortable handling without slippage. Easily identified buttons on the front and back of the flagstick allow for quick signalling.

The flag vibrates to confirm the signal is sent to the referee.

The technology behind the flags includes specialised receivers to ensure no interruption or interference of signals takes place. The receiver unit straps firmly and comfortably to the arm with a Velcro strap. The receiver unit may be programmed for notification by either sound, vibration or both. The sound emitted has been specially calibrated to ensure the referee will hear the unique signal from each Assistant even in the largest crowds.

Each assistants Flag have different tone signal on the receiver for easy identification. Sophisticated coding system virtually ensures no cross communication with other systems. Each flagstick is powered by a 9 volt battery while the receiver unit uses two AAA batteries.
