Put a transparent MatchSKIN on your yellow card and you’ll have enough
space to record game events for both teams in a single competition.
There is space at the top of the MatchSKIN to record information that is
particularly helpful if it will be used at a multi-field tournament. In short,
it tells you where you’re supposed to be and when. It also provides
tournament directors and assessors with your name and the level of the
appointment. MatchSKINS can be easily peeled from your yellow card and
placed on result cards at the end of each tournament game.
The left side of the MatchSKIN is to record which team will start the game
with possession (fill in the “ball” between the arrows) and, relative to your
position on the field, the direction each team will first attack. Each team’s
uniform colour is also entered on the left side.
On the right side of the MatchSKIN, there is space for each team’s captain’s name and the final score.
The open spaces in the center of the top and bottom half of each MatchSKIN is where you’ll record game events for
each team. There is plenty of room to record details about goals and penalty cards.
Use an alcohol wipe to erase pen/Sharpie markings. Exactly how you use MatchSKINS is completely up to you but,
here are some ideas from hockey umpires around the world who helped develop the MatchSKIN for hockey
